Program Objective
The MEED Center is one of the City of Dallas’s Business Assistance
Center Program locations. The objective of the program is to benefit
citizens of Dallas with low / moderate incomes and business owners
by providing increased job opportunities, neighborhood business services
and opportunities for business ownership and economic and community development.
Business Assistance
We are a community resource for business information and orientation,
financial/accounting services, management assistance, administrative support
and incubator space. The BAC program also offers assistance with business
plans and loan referrals for financial assistance for clients of the BAC
programs.
We offer this business technical assistance in the form of training workshops
and seminars as well as one on one counseling sessions. New clients are
encouraged to call for appointments but counselors will also see clients on a
walk-in basis if available.
This year, we began offering Business Coaching as part of an expanded service
to our clients. Clients participate in quarterly group workshops with a professional
business coach over the course of a year to jumpstart their businesses to the next
level.
Participants in our Business Incubator Program receive cubicle space, office equipment
such as a computer and access to fax, printer and copier machines, administrative support,
use of conference room space as well as all the technical business assistance offered for
a low monthly participation fee.
